Or 'reisefeber' which is the Norwegian word. I didn't really know the phrase "travel jitters", had to google it. haha.. I have been waking up early in the mornings thinking of things I have to pack or fix.. I am exciiiited!!
Pre-packing:
Shoes, bags, plastic bags; a mess
My bed was full of clothes
After packing:
Bags from Nomaden and all my clothes are rolled
All my clothes in one suitcase
My plan is to pack as light as possible because I know I will shop A LOT! I will bring two suitcases, but neither of the suitcases will be full and I am bringing a lot of food. haha..
My dad repaired my American suitcase and I will look for a new one when I get there
After being away from Norway for more than 6 months twice I know what Norwegian food I miss the most.
- Norwegian caviar (not the black Russian stuff)
- Sour and salty candy (only VERY sweet candy in USA)
- milk chocolate (couldn't find a tasty chocolate over there last time)
- mackerel in tomato sauce (yummy)
- crackers (knekkebrød)
- Last time I found some crackers in the supermarket, I hope their varieties have increased, but still I bring my own since I have room.
haha.. A good mix of unhealthy and healthy stuff here. Also, I have just been to Sweden so I am bringing Cheez Ballz because I love it and because I have room.
My suitcase is basically full of food, haha
Milk chocolate, mackerel and my favourite Candy Kind treats mmmm...
Any Norwegian food you must have when you are abroad?
