If you haven't seen the tv-show Laguna Beach or The Hills or you didn't know who Lauren Conrad was when I blogged about her, you might as well stop reading.

Today, I was talking to my new American roommate, we haven't really talked before today, because I haven't really been home and neither has she. She was decorating the apartment, hanging up some pictures, when I looked at this one picture.
Here is a recap:

ME: "Who is this?"
HER: "Oh, that's my dad when he was younger, he was a lifeguard"

ME:   *wait a minute*   *Looking closer*

ME:  "sooooo, where are you from?"
HER: "Laguna Beach"

ME: "....... I have to ask.... eehhmmm.. Do you know anyone from the Laguna Beach show?"
HER: "oooh yeah, I am the same age as them.. "

ME: " *speechless*
HER: "....uuhhmm... yeah, are you one of those people who take pictures in front of the school I used to go to?"
ME: "uh, NO"






 ME: "..... okey, I might have done that.. To be honest I'm maybe Norway's biggest Laguna Beach and The Hills fan"
HER: "That's so funnnyy.. Do you know who Brody Jenner is?

ME: "I might have seen him on the show yeah... *drooooling*
HER: "haha, He is such a douche bag now.. He was my first boyfriend "

ME: "I can't believe I am living with a Laguna Beach real life person"
HER: "haha.. you're so cute.. I will get you a Laguna Beach Alumni t-shirt, I have so many.. the Conrad's are my neighbours and the Cavalleri's live just down the street.. You should come to Laguna with me soon, since it's summer, many are home, you'll probably meet some of them"

ME: *trying my best to look unaffected and normal*
ME: "uuhmm.. yeah, sure I can check my schedule.. "

Las Vegas for Labor Day Weekend

Yesterday I went to Wayne's Coffee to meet my friends to make some plans for when they come visit me in September. We decided to book a 3 nights visit to Las Vegas. WOHOO!!

We found a special offer on a website that Lonely Planet recommended, see HERE. This offer did not appear on any of the big search engines!

We are going there for the end of Labor Day Weekend:

On the road to Oslo dreaming about The Hills

Tomorrow is my appointment at the US embassy to get my visa, so I'm going to Oslo today. I'm on the bus watching bad reality tv and I came to think of  my all-time favourite reality show, The Hills.
I guess pretty much every girl in the world watched The Hills. We all loathed how Speidi and Jen Bunny treated Lauren. We all loved Whitney and wanted Lauren to be together with Brody.. aaaah.. good times. I must admit to following Lauren through the two seasons of Laguna Beach and all the seasons of the Hills. Being the same age as Lauren, it was kind of cool watching her "grow up" and making good and bad choices at the same time as me.

Without coming across as a total goof, I have to say I had many discussions with my friends on whether the show was real or not. Those of you who watched the final episode of The Hills probably got a bit of a shock seeing how they really filmed the show, at least I did. After reading Lauren's books I realized a lot of it was staged and re-filmed after it actually happened, but still what happened wasn't scripted and it WASN'T fake!! hehe..

Lauren is currently designing for a store called Kohl's and I can't wait to check it out when I get to Cali. I would like to buy this jumpsuit (called romper actually haha). There is no doubt the girl has style.

Anyway, I think I can say that I, as many others out there, see myself in Lauren and her drama in The Hills. I like her a lot and I was sad to see that her new reality show was not picked up by any networks. I guess it might have to do with the fact that her then boyfriend Kyle Howard didn't want to be on a reality show, so the show has to exclude a big part of her life. However, now that she is single, maybe she will start up a new fun show again ??! :D
